We start by looking at your current tattoo: its size, how dark it is and where it sits. Then we design a new piece that uses darker shading, texture and clever placement to hide the old lines.
A cover-up is usually larger and darker than the original tattoo. Designs with flowers, animals, patterns and black and grey shading work especially well.
If you still like your tattoo but it has faded or blurred, a rework can refresh the lines and shading instead of hiding it. We will tell you honestly which option gives the best result.
Can any tattoo be covered? Most tattoos can be covered or reworked. Very dark or very large tattoos limit the options, so send us a photo through the booking form for an honest assessment.
Will the old tattoo show through? A well-planned cover-up hides the old design completely. That's why we plan the new design around the old one instead of simply tattooing over it.
